Royal HC was founded in 1985 by Charles Watson in his hometown of London. The Englishman had a vision of creating a stylish way of travel into the city for wealthy Londoners who lived in vast areas outside of the city. In 1987, Watson completed the construction of the first Heli-Tower in the city of London and shortly after began flights. Over the next 15 years the company continued to gain traction among the elites of London. Around that time Watson’s son, Alexander Watson, had become a prominent part of the corporation and envisioned expanding their helicopter service to the middle class. Alexander believed the United States would be a great market to begin this new expansion. At the age of 30 Alexander moved to Los Angeles and began the establishment of Royal HC in the United States. In 2002, the first Heli-Tower was constructed in downtown Los Angeles with multiple landing sites in Malibu and Irvine. After success in the following years another Heli-Tower was constructed in Los Angeles and two more landing sites in Santa Barbara and Bakersfield. Alexander’s plan to create a commercial Helicopter transportation for people traveling into the city of Los Angeles was very popular. Since their arrival in the United States market, Royal HC has experienced massive growth; they now provide their Helicopter transportation in New York City, NY; Dallas, Texas; Seattle, Washington. Charles Watson has since retired, and Alexander is the owner and CEO of Royal HC.
